Wow - what a month it has been!

First the loss of my father-in-law, and now today the amazing birth of my newest son - Stephen.

I am always amazed when a child is born. This is our 6th child (yes, #6) and I wept as much today as I did when my first child arrived. We are all miracles of God and I see the totality of His creation when we are in the presence of such a miracle.

Children are so precious and wonderful - but we would all do well to remember these sweet innocent faces when they are so new and fresh as I think it will help us to stay calm and collected during those times when they are challenging and frustrating.

So I would like to share a couple of photos of Stephen.

Jeff Meling, my father-in-law, passed away yesterday while walking on his treadmill.

He had a history of heart problems and we knew the day would come, although it hit our oldest son the hardest.  Please pray for our family, my mother-in-law and especially Luke, our oldest - he was grandpa’s fishing buddy.
